We are looking for an Admin Assistant to be a key member of the school’s fantastic Admin Team. Your role will involve working together to support the administrative functions of the school in relation to duties in the Admin Office and Pupil Admin. You will also support the administrative function around Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and other educational reviews, distributing reports, arranging meeting dates and invites.
A commitment to Greenmead pupils and their complex needs is essential, plus the ability to work as part of a team and be flexible and support other colleagues. Greenmead is a primary school for pupils aged 2 – 11 years who have severe physical disabilities and associated communication and learning problems. Many of the pupils have additional medical needs.
You should be friendly and approachable as you’ll be the first contact to welcome visitors to the school. You should have good communication skills for being front of house and when talking on the telephone and be well organised; able to manage your work priorities. You should also have good IT skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher) and good numeracy and literacy skills.
You’ll be having contact with parents and you will need to be able to support them to answer queries related to Pupil Admin and EHCP processes and timeframes, making appointments and liaising with them face to face when they come in for meetings and other school events.
