An aim of Greenmead is to provide outstanding opportunities for all our pupils. We achieve this through excellent teaching of our broad and balanced yet creative and individualised curriculum.
At Greenmead we have designed our curricula to meet the full range of special education needs that our pupils have. Our curricula and class groupings are carefully considered and are organised in such a way that all our pupils’ special educational needs are met in an age appropriate way.
Our Early Years and Foundation Stage department takes pupils between the ages of 2-5 years. We have organised these pupils into two classes Pluto and Neptune.
Pluto and Neptune class follow an adapted version of the Early Years and Foundation Stage curriculum.
This curriculum follows seven main areas of development:
• Communication and language
• Physical development
• PSED
• Literacy
• Mathematics
• Understanding the world
• Expressive arts and design

The Friends of Greenmead (FOG) is the registered charity of Greenmead School. It depends on the support of parents, friends and staff for its success. Through FOG’s fundraising activities, Greenmead pupils have access to a range of facilities which would not otherwise be available. This includes funding Music Therapy. New parents are encouraged to join. If you would like to make a donation to the school please contact the school office or go to www.justgiving.com
